No guide, no translator, just solo travel in one of China\u2019s biggest megacities.<\/p>\n<p>I try everything from savory and sweet porridge to freshly made buns, soy milk, sesame rice balls stuffed with youtiao, sticky brown sugar cake, blanket noodles, and finally a crispy shaobing to finish the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Chongqing is often called the most futuristic city in China, sometimes even the cyberpunk city of China, famous for its skyline, crazy infrastructure, Chongqing hotpot, and intense flavours. But today isn\u2019t about hotpot.
