China. Nowadays, it’s hard to know what’s true about the country. Is it the futuristic country of skylines that social media will have you believe? Or is it still the rural, communist hellscape that the haters say it is? <\/p>\n
Well, I thought of a great to way to test just that. Why don’t we go to THE most communist place in China, the place where the CCP began. A place where almost no foreigners ever step foot. Jiangxi Province. How would life be there? Would I fit in if I dressed more like a communist revolutionary? And would Chinese grandmas continue to find me charming?<\/p>\n
All of these questions needed to be answered, and I was much happier to be in China than dodging bombs in the Middle East. <\/p>\n
