This city completely transforms into a giant ice kingdom, with massive ice castles, frozen sculptures, glowing ice blocks, and entire streets built from ice. Temperatures drop well below freezing, but the scale, detail, and atmosphere here are unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
In this video, I explore:
The Harbin Ice and Snow World
Giant ice castles and ice sculptures
Frozen rivers and crystal-clear ice
Why Harbin feels totally different from the rest of China
What winter in northern China is really like
Harbin is famous for its Russian-influenced architecture, brutal winters, and hosting the largest ice and snow festival in the world. Seeing it in person is on another level.
