I start my journey at Erhai Lake, taking in the peaceful scenery before heading to Xizhou, where I explore the historic old town, take part in a traditional tie-dye workshop, and enjoy a delicious local lunch. From there, we travel to the incredibly charming Shaxi Ancient Town, one of Yunnan’s best-preserved historic trading towns along the old Tea Horse Road.

This episode also includes a visit to the world-famous Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest gorges on Earth and a must-see destination when travelling in Yunnan. The landscapes here are absolutely unreal and offer a completely different side of China that most travellers never experience.
