China-Laos Railway sees travel surge as more foreigners travel for Spring Festival vibe 🧧🧧

The China-Laos Railway has become a popular route for foreign tourists to experience Chinese New Year.

During the first week of the Spring Festival travel rush, nearly 1,200 inbound foreign passengers entered China via the Mohan Railway Port, marking a year-on-year increase of over 30%.

More than 40% of these travelers came specifically to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere.

As of Feb. 2, the China-Laos Railway had operated a total of 90,000 passenger train trips, carrying 66.12 million passengers.

Of these, 53.95 million travelled on the Chinese domestic section, while 12.17 million were transported on the overseas section.

More 700,000 passengers from 124 countries and regions have embarked on cross-border train journeys.

The route connects popular destinations such as Kunming, Xishuangbanna, Luang Prabang, and Vientiane, covering more than 560 scenic spots along the way, making it a golden route for cross-border tourism.
