In recent years, world-class fine dining restaurants like Fu Hao Restaurant (Michelin 1 Star), Changben Japanese Cuisine (Michelin 1 Star), Aleia Restaurant (Michelin 1 Star), and even the groundbreaking Family Li Imperial Cuisine — the first 2-Star Michelin Chinese restaurant in Southwest China — have opened in the heart of the city’s bustling Jiefangbei district at Metropolis Oriental Plaza. These establishments offer everything from refined Cantonese delicacies and omakase sushi to Spanish-inspired seafood and exquisite imperial-era dishes rooted in Qing-dynasty tradition. 

🌃 Chongqing’s Drone Light Shows — A Sky Full of Wonders
After dark, Chongqing’s skyline becomes a canvas for one of the most impressive drone shows in the world. The “Charming Chongqing” drone light show debuted in 2025 and now runs regularly — especially on Saturdays and major holidays — along the scenic waterfront where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet. Tens of thousands of state-of-the-art drones paint stunning aerial visuals above the city, depicting cultural themes, iconic landmarks, and dazzling animations that captivate crowds of locals and visitors alike. One special performance even set a Guinness World Record with 11,787 drones forming the largest aerial pattern ever recorded.
