I investigated the China Western media won’t show, exploring one of the most unique and vibrant urban villages: Meikuang Village in Guiyang City, filmed in 4K. This is China’s Urban Village Walk through dark alleys and shabby, noisy streets where everything feels surreal, almost like a simulation. The space is full of liminal vibes, where parts feel abandoned yet still alive. What I found here surprised me — from insanely cheap rent to chaotic street life and unexpected moments you wouldn’t normally experience.
I walk through Meikuang Village both day and night to see how it really feels and to answer one question: is this place actually dangerous, or just misunderstood? This is raw, unfiltered China — exactly as I experienced it.
