I Can’t Believe What China Built in Shenzhen…

Welcome to Shenzhen, China — a city where the future doesn’t feel far away, it feels like something you can actually walk through.

In this video, I arrive in one of China’s most futuristic cities and explore how Shenzhen has become a symbol of modern China, from incredible metro stations and driverless taxis to drone delivery, mobile payments, futuristic architecture, and everyday technology that makes the city feel years ahead.

I start at the incredible Gangxia North Station, also known as the Eye of Shenzhen — a massive underground transport hub that looks more like a futuristic palace than a metro station. Then I head across the city using SinoGuide, an app designed to help foreigners who are visiting China or arriving here for the first time.
